Ticket cap for Pinkie Pie Party

Yesterday, we had a meeting with the venue staff, who raised the issue of capacity for the Pinkie Pie Party. The capacity of the Circle Foyer, where the party will be held, is 500, and we have currently allocated nearly this number of tickets in total, both through sales, and for staff, guests, etc. After discussion with the venue, it has been decided that we will need to cap the number of Standard tickets at pretty much the number it is at the moment. In the interests of fairness, we have made 10 more Standard tickets available, as well as making a new ticket type, the We Couldn't Fit You All In ticket, which gives you access to the whole weekend minus the Pinkie Pie Party. Naturally, these tickets are cheaper than Standard tickets, and are priced at £25. We apologise for those of you who have been holding off buying tickets; this restriction was not our decision, and was necessary due to fire regulations in the venue. However, we hope that those of you who buy our new tickets will have just as much fun at the convention. If we receive and Standard ticket cancellations we will reallocate those tickets as on-sale, and will post about them on our Twitter/Facebook.

Wanted: Art, articles, and advertisements for conbook

Dearest BUCKaneers! We are excited to announce our absolutely splediferous, fantabulous, can't-be-more-awesome-ous programme for B.U.C.K. 2012! Pop over to our programme page to find out about all the wonderful things we have planned for this year's convention. A schedule of times will be up soon, so you can start planning your weekend before you even get there!

Conbook

We currently have a very empty conbook, and are looking for art, articles, and advertisements to fill it. The book will be a full-colour A5 booklet containing our programme and venue map, as well as content from the brony community, be it visual or textual. We accept artwork, fan fiction, poetry, articles about the fandom, and pretty much anything else you'd like to throw in there (within reason). Inclusion of fan content is absolutely free, and will serve as good publicity for yourself as an artist or writer, directly to an appreciative community.

We are also giving companies and individuals a chance to advertise their goods and services in the book. This is an excellent chance to reach between 400 and 500 people directly, within a niche marketing group. Whether you're a local Manchester business, another convention, a plushie maker, artist, or anyone else for that matter, consider placing an ad in our conbook. Our rates are very competitive: £50 for half a page, and £85 for a whole page.
